What's at the Grazing School this year?

On Day 1 we'll be hearing from Kelsey Beasley of Integrity Ranching. Kelsey will be offering a glimpse at their ranch culture.  This includes principles and practices used for working the landscape, optimizing ecology and land stewardship, as well as strategic planning for the triple bottom line: the land, the people and the profitability of their system.

You can find out more about their ranch at

There are still spaces left in the grazing school for women. Follow the Register Here link to sign up.

We've also got a Facebook page with updates on all three grazing schools in Alberta for ranching and farming women.

2015 Southern Alberta Grazing School for Women

Brush up on your Pteranodons and Triceratops, we're headed to Dinosaur Provincial Park! Okay, so while we are not learning about dinosaurs, the park is hosting us for the 12th Annual Southern Alberta Grazing School for Women. Group camping is available as well as other accommodation options at the park and at nearby B&B's and hotels. Please call Holly White, Agricultural Services County of Newell, to book a group camping site 403-633-0352.

The core learning opportunities at the grazing school focus on rangeland and riparian management. The two day course is designed to help you better manage your pastures, understand the natural resources on your land and increase your knowledge of animal welfare practices.

Check out all that Dinosaur Provincial Park has to offer if you'd like to extend your stay:
