Accommodations while you're at the school

There are several options for places to stay while you're at the Grazing School for Women. Since we'll be in the Provincial Park, camping is always a great option! They even have 'comfort camping' :) And for even more convenience, there are trailers available that are situated right next to the conference hall. These trailers are usually for staff and researchers and some are available to us that week. See the picture below of Sandstone Lodge and the trailers.

To book group camping at Dinosaur Provincial Park or to book a room in one of the trailers available near the conference centre in the park, please contact Holly White at (403) 633-0352.
·         Group camping - $38/night
·         Room rental - $30/night (based on double occupancy)

To book an individual camping site at Dinosaur Provincial Park, please contact the park directly at 1-877-537-2757 or online reservations at

Red Roof Studio Bed & Breakfast (near Duchess, approximately 30 minutes drive from Dinosaur Provincial Park). Please contact them directly for rates and availability at (403) 378-4276, or at

There are also several hotels in Brooks, which is approximately a 30 minute drive from Dinosaur Provincial Park.

What's at the Grazing School this year?

On Day 1 we'll be hearing from Kelsey Beasley of Integrity Ranching. Kelsey will be offering a glimpse at their ranch culture.  This includes principles and practices used for working the landscape, optimizing ecology and land stewardship, as well as strategic planning for the triple bottom line: the land, the people and the profitability of their system.

You can find out more about their ranch at

There are still spaces left in the grazing school for women. Follow the Register Here link to sign up.

We've also got a Facebook page with updates on all three grazing schools in Alberta for ranching and farming women.
